2010/2011 Season
Join Us for the Most Amazing Season!
This season, True Colors hops back on the road, bringing Atlanta World Premieres, Regional Premieres and old favorites at familiar venues and exciting brand-new venues.
These are Your Stories...Your World.
We open our season by welcoming David H. Bell, Former Alliance Theatre Assoc. Artistic Director, Back to Atlanta with his World Premiere musical Gut Bucket Blues based on the life of the extraordinary Bessie Smith.
Kenny Leon then returns to Atlanta to direct the Regional Premiere of Nathan Louis Jackson's comic drama Broke-ology. We move to the classics in the spring while illuminating race relations in America with George C. Wolfe's The Colored Museum directed by Jasmine Guy at Dekalb County's brand new Porter Sanford III Performing Arts Center. Jasmine then returns to the stage to star in our interpretation of Sam Sheppard's haunting story of obsession, love and denial in Fool for Love.
And, let's not forget the holidays. Back by Popular Demand is our hit gospel musical Black Nativity....see, we're telling the truth. These are all Your Stories...Your World. Come travel through it with us.
