Amari Cheatom - Kenny Leon's True Colors Theatre Company Atlanta

Amari Cheatom Theatre credits include: DutchMasters (LAByrinth Theatre Company), On The Levee (Lincoln Center), The Book of Grace (The Public Theatre),  Zooman and the Sign (Signature Theatre), The Lower Ninth; A Ballad of Sad Young Men; Origin Story (Sundance Theatre Festival); When January Feels like Summer (Sundance Theater Festival); The Toilet (New Federal Theatre); and Age of Grace.  He is a graduate of the Juilliard School Drama Division where he played such roles as King Leontes (The Winters Tale), Bynum Walker (Joe Turners come and Gone), Edmund The Bastard (King Lear), Sean (Beau Willimon’s War Story) and Banner (Bryan Tucker’s St. James Infirmary).  Film credits include: Django Unchained, Shaka King’s Newlyweeds, Night Catches Us with director Tanya Hamilton and Anthony Mackie and Kerry Washington and Disparity of Forces.  Television credits include: Numbers (CBS), Chase (USA), Detroit 187 (ABC), Georgetown (ABC).
