D.Woods (Corinne) D.Woods (Corinne) Growing up in Springfield Massachusetts, D. Woods first developed her love for the arts as a child while performing in dance and regional theater productions such as August Wilson’s FENCES and JOE TURNER’S COME AND GONE. As teenager she relocated to Atlanta, GA where she attended the renowned Tri-Cities High School for Visual and Performing Arts. There she studied modern contemporary dance, ballet, West African and Hip- Hop dance styles and trained with the Freddie Hendricks Youth Ensemble of Atlanta.. Her training also included the prestigious Alvin Ailey School, extensive voice and acting training at New York University Tisch School of the Arts Theater program. While in New York D. Woods was selected to appear in music videos and tour with major recording artists, but ultimately it was her time on the reality television show, MTV’s Making the Band 3” that made D. Woods a household name. D. Woods has displayed her acting talents in theater, film and television productions such as, the Suzie Award winning Atlanta Lyric Theater production of “Ain’t Misbehavin”, Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre Company’s “Shaking the Rafters”, Dominion Entertainment’s JAR THE FLOOR and “REBIRTH: the Musical” D. Woods has appeared in films like STOMP THE YARD, TVONE’s FOR THE LOVE OF RUTH, and BLACKBIRD. You can see D. Woods on the FOX series by Lee Daniels STAR, this fall. D. continues to write and record music as well as give back to the community through her Foolish Dreamer Organization, a nonprofit that focuses on mentoring up and coming highschool talent.
