Tupac Shakur

Tupac Shakur (Music) Born in New York City in 1971, his family moved to Baltimore, Maryland 1984 where Tupac attended the Baltimore School of the Arts excelling academically as well as developing his creative roots in the classics studying theater, ballet, jazz; citing Shakespeare as a leading influence. Relocating again to Oakland, California, where his first big break came in 1991 as a member of Digital Underground, a year later Shakur released his first solo album 2Pacalypse Now, and cast in the motion picture Juice then followed up with in Poetic Justice, opposite Janet Jackson a year later. Tupac untimely and tragic end came in 1997, when he died from multiple gunshot wounds, he was only 25. Consistently ranked as one of the greatest artists of all time including Rolling Stone placing him on its list of The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time and in 2017, Shakur was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His last album to be release during his lifetime, All Eyez on Me, is one of the highest-selling rap albums of all time being recertified 10x platinum as of 2014.
