Why did you choose True Colors? “I chose Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre Company because of the emphasis on bringing truth and clarity to the arts and realizing the value in our own distinct voice and color. I know that working in the various departments that True Colors has to offer will do nothing but strengthen my appreciation for the dozens of hands that have a role in shaping how a production comes to life. Another big motivator for me was the celebration of diversity here, where the stories of African-Americans and other world cultures are able to shine. As a Latina actress, that message spoke to me because I believe that we should embrace the things that make us special rather than dividing ourselves up by what makes us different.”
