Artist Spotlight: Brad Raymond
“Black Like Me”
We are so happy to shine our spotlight on one of the Atl’s brightest lights of the stage: Brad Raymond! Join us for an hour with Raymond for “Black Like Me,” inspired by Langston Hughes’ moving “Dream Variations” poem. Raymond will honor Black composers and Black poets, performing some of his favorite classical music, spirituals, and poems. You won’t want to miss this one-afternoon only performance, so be sure to mark your calendar and join us at MARTA’s West End Station!
When: Tuesday, October 15 from 4:00-5:00pm
Where: West End Station (680 Lee St. SW, Atlanta, GA 30310)
The performance will take place inside the faregates. All you need to do is swipe your Breeze card, then follow the music!
Brad Raymond
Brad has performed as an actor, singer or conductor at some of the art world’s most esteemed institutions including the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Light Opera Works of Chicago, the Ravinia Festival, Arena Stage, The Broad Stage, The Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Opera, Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre, Theater Emory, Horizon Theatre and Spivey Hall. Some of Brad’s favorite roles include: Homer in Lilies of the Field, Fetch in Fetch, Clay Make Man, Ronald in Born For This and the Suzi Bass Award winning performance as Blue in Chasin Dem Blues.
