Meet the Team
Randy is President and CEO of Pisgah Consulting LLC. Randy spent many summers in Western North Carolina, near Pisgah National Forest. Randy has years of theoretical and practical experience in program development and creation, organizational development and fundraising. He is passionate about helping the small and medium nonprofit.
As someone who is passionate about sharing multicultural stories and history, Brandall C. Jones is elated to be part of the True Colors Theatre team as Connectivity Director, as well as Partner of MJR Partners, Arts Management Services. In his role as Connectivity Director, Jones maintains and builds connections with the Atlanta community and beyond through meaningful partnerships and programs. Jones has been an admirer of the work of Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre Company for years and is especially proud of its commitment to providing career-making opportunities for artists of color in the Atlanta community.

Jamil is a highly accomplished director, producer, playwright and dramaturg focusing on bringing socially relevant art to the community. Jamil is the Co-Founder of The New Griots Festival, which is dedicated to celebrating, advocating, and advancing the careers of emerging Black artists in the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area in Minnesota. Prior to joining the staff at True Colors, Jamil served as the Artistic Programming Associate at Park Square Theatre in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Adrie Keaton has returned to True Colors to coordinate this year’s Next Narrative Competition! She is excited to be back working in the creative arts arena. For several years, she served as TCTC’s Education Assistant under both Ms. Hilda Willis and Ms. Nikki Toombs, respectively, where she assisted in growing the August Wilson Monologue Competition in Georgia.
Jade Mia Lambert is a theatre practitioner who is intentional about curating opportunities and increasing visibility for innovative creatives. She is a proud director-dramaturg, who previously served as the theatre director and troupe director at Tri-Cities High School, instructor of acting at Spelman College, and as artistic associate, dramaturg, and teaching artist at the Alliance Theatre.
Kayla Parker (she/her) is a producer, director, and writer. Parker began her Atlanta career as a directing and acting dual apprentice at Actor’s Express. Afterwards, she began producing her own work with the help of several local theatre companies including but not limited to, Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre Company, The Alliance, Actor’s Express, and Synchronicity Theatre. Parker is extremely passionate about the development of new work and very excited to be helping revolutionize the landscape of the America theatre as we know it with The Drinking Gourd.
Kristen Parker is True Colors Theatre’s Operations Consultant. Originally from Alabama, Kristen received a Communication Arts degree in theatre at the University of North Alabama. Upon graduating, she left to pursue acting and management work in New York City. While in New York she was fortunate to intern and work on multiple On and Off-Broadway productions as well as hold a 7-year career in finance with Lincoln Center Theatre. After 12 years in the city, she found her way back south to Atlanta where she joined the Alliance Theatre’s off-site season as assistant house manager for two years. Kristen enjoys reading, athletics, and writing, where she also excels.
Christen Pemberton is a skilled marketer with a passion for assisting organizations achieve measurable visions of success. Christen’s dedication to her work has earned her a reputation as a results-driven marketer who consistently exceeds expectations. She has honed her expertise in marketing strategies, brand development, event production and digital marketing. Christen loves the mission of True Colors Theatre and is happy to lend her skillset to assisting in their continued growth.
Chandra Stephens-Albright has been the Managing Director at Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre Company since July 2017. She joined the nonprofit sector following a successful 22-year career at The Coca-Cola Company, where she led consumer-facing elements of the development and launch of Coca-Cola Freestyle®, the game-changing fountain dispenser named a “World-Changing Brand” by Interbrand in 2011.
Brea Walker is originally from South Georgia. After graduating she made her way to Atlanta where she stage managed at theaters such as: Actor’s Express, Georgia Ensemble Theatre, and The Alliance. Along with stage managing she spent five years with The Fox Theatre in Ticketing and Sales. With her passion for impactful work and making meaningful connections she is excited to call True Colors her new home.
Tyra Watkins is an actress, dancer, and model in the Atlanta Area. She is originally from Washington, D.C. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Clark Atlanta University. Past credits include Lady in Yellow in For Colored Girls and Third Witch in Macbeth. Tyra not only has worked as an actress, but also as a makeup designer and choreographer for several productions. She is excited to be part of the True Colors Theatre Company as she transitions into her professional career.
Lisa L. Watson, an Atlanta native, received her undergraduate degree from Clark Atlanta University and went on to pursue graduate studies at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in Scenic Design. While in NY she worked with the Negro Ensemble Company, New Federal Theatre, Crossroads Theatre and Diane McIntyre’s Sounds in Motions among others. Returning to Atlanta in 1992 she joined Jomandi Productions as Production Manager, a position she held for 10 years.
LaTrease Williams-Mckinley is an accomplished Sales and Box Office Manager with a wealth of experience in the entertainment industry. With a background as a Talent PA for award shows and reality TV, LaTrease brings a unique perspective to her current role at True Colors Theatre.
