The Mission

The mission of True Colors Theatre Company is to celebrate the rich tradition of Black storytelling while giving voice to bold artists of all cultures. True Colors Theatre Company challenges the traditional programming model for American Theatres by centering the work of Black playwrights, and by being a safe space for the development of new work. The vision of Artistic Director Jamil Jude is for the company to “thrive at the intersection of artistic excellence and civic engagement.”
