Maiesha McQueen who grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, is thrilled to be making Chasin Dem Blues her True Colors Theatre debut! After graduating from the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Musical Theatre from New York University, Maiesha traveled the globe for over a decade as a lead ensemble member in the touring company, Progress Theatre, whose work has been presented at spaces such as The Public Theater, 14th Street Playhouse, The Kennedy Center, The Apollo Theatre and World Music Festival in Amsterdam. Regional credits include: Black Nativity (Southwest Arts Center, GA); In the Red and Brown Water (Spelman College, GA); Little Shop of Horrors, Show Boat, Man of Lamancha, Guys and Dolls (Forestburg Playhouse, NY). Maiesha is also a certified teaching artist of over a decade, and provides classes, workshops, and mentorship to youth of all ages.
